About the Teacher

I have lived in Greenville since I was 10 years old. I am a product of the Greenville County School system. I attended Lake Forest Elementary School, Northwood Junior High School, and Wade Hampton High School. I then headed to Clemson University where I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Spanish and Secondary Education, a Master of Education degree in Secondary Guidance, and then earned 30 hours above my Masters' degree in Special Education. This is my 46th year teaching and my 38th at Blue Ridge. I was the guidance counselor at Tigerville Elementary for one year and at Mountain View and Skyland Elementary Schools for 6 years. My very first year of teaching was at Daniel High School in Clemson, SC. In 1992, I was chosen as one of the top 10 teachers in Greenville County. I retired several years ago, but I will be here as long as I can keep going!
