In 2025, I graduated from Anderson University with my Doctorate in Leadership and Curriculum. Previously, I graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education and from Converse College with a Master of Education degree in Elementary Education. I have been National Board Certified since 2000. I received the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching in 2006. I wrote a book called Kindergarten Counts in 2001, presented at several state and national conferences, and published several articles. I have been teaching for over 30 years and love every minute of it! I have four children who are the apple of my eye. I live on a farm with horses, goats, cows, chickens, pigs, kitties, and three little dogs.

My favorite flowers are hydrangeas, gardenias, and camellias!
I enjoy taking pictures and exploring the natural world!
My favorite goodies are fruit, dark chocolate, ginger ale, and Nutella!!!
I love anything pink and purple with sparkles!!!
