About Me

Hello, my name is Matthew Hunter. I am born and raised in Rock Hill, South Carolina. I graduated from Anderson University (Go Trojans) with a two degrees in Secondary Social Studies Education and History. I am looking forward to the upcoming school year.

Outside of teaching I enjoy hiking and camping. One of my goals is to visit every national park in the United States. I also enjoy playing basketball, watching football and any sport minus golf. 

I strongly believe in the importance and value of Social Studies. It equips students with not only important knowledge of the countries history but also develops skills that translate to life such as; critical thinking, problem solving, etc.
