I was born in West Virginia, but moved to South Carolina in the 3rd grade. I have 2 sisters, 4 nephews, and 4 nieces. I attended Lander University on a Softball Scholarship. I graduated with a Bachelors of Science with a emphasis in Physical Education. I completed my certification in Special Education after I had begun my teaching career. I taught Special Education for 16 years at Mauldin Middle and 3 years at Southside High. I taught PE at Southside High for 7 years. This is my first year at Blue Ridge as an inclusion Geometry and Academic Seminar teacher. I teach Virtual PE 1 for Greenville County for over 10 years. I have coached softball, basketball, and volleyball at the varsity, JV, and middle school levels. I am the Varsity Volleyball Coach here at Blue Ridge High School. I have been apart of Special Olympics for over 20 years. I have coached at 2 USA Games for Special Olympics. I am a sponsor of our Be A Fan Club that creates inclusive enviroments for all students and Special Olympics participation and volunteering is done through this club.Â
