Meet the Teacher

My name is Julianna Hooks and I am from Greensboro, North Carolina. This is my sixth year in education and my third year at Hollis Academy. I attended the University of Georgia (GO DAWGS!) and moved to Nashville, Tennessee after graduating. I lived in Nashville for three years and moved to Greenville in 2015 to be closer to family and friends.

At the University of Georgia, I received my B.S. in Early Childhood Education, which certified me to teach grades Pre-K through 5th grade. I am a highly qualified early childhood and elementary teacher in South Carolina with an endorsement in teaching English as a Second Language. I am also currently pursuing my Masters of Education in Literacy at Furman University and look forward to furthering my educational studies.

I have many hobbies and interests in addition to teaching. In my free time, I love spending time with my family! I am the middle child of three sisters who are very special to me. Cooking is another one of my favorite hobbies. Watching movies, spending time with my family, and traveling are also interests of mine.

I am so excited to meet your child as we enter an exciting educational journey through 3rd grade. This year is going to be great!
