Social Work

My role as a social worker is to help children achieve their academic potential minimizing any family adversity that can interfere with school success.

I am also the link between the families and resources in the community as well as the connection between school staff and families.

Some of my roles are:

To provide transportation to parents to the school for any conference with their child's teacher or other school personnel.

To provide transportation for different medical needs of children.
To contact parents when children are absent from school.
To motivate students to achieve perfect attendance.
To facilitate parents' workshops with themes related to families, children, and school.

Another role of a social worker is to be a mandated reported for situations of negligence or abuse.
