Social Work

My role as a social worker is to help children achieve their academic potential minimizing any family adversity that can interfere with school success.

I am also the link between the families and resources in the community as well as the connection between school staff and families.

Some of my roles are:

To provide transportation to parents to the school for any conference with their child's teacher or other school personnel.

• To provide transportation for different medical needs of children.
• To contact parents when children are absent from school.
• To motivate students to achieve perfect attendance.
• To facilitate parents' workshops with themes related to families, children, and school.

Another role of a social worker is to be a mandated reported for situations of negligence or abuse.
