I am a proud 1988 graduate of Wade Hampton High School in Greenville, South Carolina, and a 1994 graduate of Columbia College, where I earned a degree in Elementary Education. I have also completed graduate coursework at Furman University in Emotional Disabilities, Southern Wesleyan University in Middle School Education, and Clemson University in Learning Disabilities.
This is my 27th year at Mauldin Middle School. I previously taught 8th grade ELA and math inclusion, and I am excited to now be part of the math department.
I live in Taylors, South Carolina, and I have a wonderful family that brings me so much joy—my daughter, Lauren, and my granddaughter, Violet Rose. At home, I also have three cats—Penny Lane, Marcel, and Poppy—who definitely keep things lively!
In my free time, I enjoy gardening, creating art, exploring history, and reading mysteries. I love starting my mornings with a cup of coffee while listening to the birds. Lately, I’ve picked up some new hobbies, including making soap and bath products and learning to knit—I’ve already made several scarves and bags! I also love music, particularly from the 70s and 80s.
I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family. And during football season, you can count on me cheering loud and proud for the Clemson Tigers!
