My name is Joe Cuyar. I have 9.5 years as a State Police Officer, 10 years with the Greenville City Police, and 3 years with the Greenville County Sheriff's Office. I also have 28 years of experience in the U.S. Army and the Army National Guard that culminated after 9/11 with Operation Noble Eagle from 2001 to 2006 and a thirteen-month tour in Kandahar, Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom from 2006 to 2007. My highest rank attained during my military career was Captain. Most of my law enforcement career was spent in the patrol divisions dealing directly with the public in both patrol duties and community patrol. After I retired from law enforcement, I went to work for the Northrop-Grumman Corporation as a Military Trainer rising to the level of Senior Trainer training military personnel in various locations throughout the world. After a short retirement, I decided to become a teacher teaching law enforcement services to high school students.
