COURSE DESCRIPTION
English 4 CP is a college-preparatory course designed to strengthen students’ skills in reading, writing, speaking, listening, and critical thinking. The curriculum focuses on British literature, tracing its development from the Anglo-Saxon period through the modern era. Students analyze various genres, including poetry, drama, fiction, and nonfiction, and explore historical and cultural contexts.
Writing instruction emphasizes literary analysis, argumentative essays, and research-based writing. Students also refine grammar, vocabulary, and citation skills to prepare for post-secondary education or the workforce.
