Hello everyone! My name is Mr. Turpen, and I'm thrilled to kick off my second year at GMS! Previously, I served as a school counselor for 6th to 8th graders in Kingsport Tennessee, where I also had the privilege of being the head coach of the track team. My academic journey led me to Milligan University, where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Pre-Professional Psychology in 2020, followed by a Masters in School Counseling in 2022.

Outside of school, I'm passionate about working on cars, competing in autocross events, exploring the great outdoors through hiking, and watching a good movie or show. I'm eager to meet each of you and contribute to the vibrant community at GMS. Feel free to drop by my office anytime for a chat – I'm here to support you in any way I can!

Hi everyone! I'm Ms. Shepherd and this is my 7th year as a school counselor. I graduated from NC State in 2010 with my B.S in Zoology (GO WOLFPACK!) & University of the Southwest in 2019 with my Masters in Education-School Counseling. I have a 12 y.o son who is moving up to 7th grade with me & we have a dog, cat, & turtle. I love to read, paint, be crafty, write, & I love Iron Man and comics/anime. You'll always hear me listening to music in my office and I love being out and about in the hall with my students from all grades. My favorite part of being a counselor is getting to be there for my students and helping them navigate this crazy middle school time - I love hearing their stories and watching them grow with us. I look forward to meeting you all and for another great year at GMS!

Hi!! I'm Mrs. Branning and this is my third year at Greer Middle! I previously taught middle school math and science and absolutely LOVE working with middle schoolers! I graduated from the College of Charleston in 2017 with my B.S. in Middle Grades Math & Science Education, and graduated from Clemson (GO TIGERS!!!) in 2023 with my Masters in School Counseling and an Education Specialist degrees. In my free time I love to hike, travel and explore new places, play video games, hang with friends and family, and watch a great movie or TV show. I have two rescue pitties and a kitty at home that I adore! 

My mission in life is to help others live their best lives, and to be their biggest supporter and advocate. No matter what's going on, I'm so happy to be here for you. Let's have a great year!!

Hello! I am Mrs. Moylan! I started my educational career as a special education teacher and I absolutely loved helping my students become the amazing humans they were destined to be. I became a counselor when I realized that many of my students needed more than just academic help and I was not equipped to help them through their difficulties. Now I dedicate my time at school to helping students through difficult situations and teaching them skills that will help them in future struggles. 

My husband and I live with an ever growing family of fur babies, plants. Currently we have 2 dogs, 1 cat and more than enough plants according to my husband. I love to play board games, particularly scrabble or boggle, and read. My husband loves to cook, so I love to eat! You will always find me with a cup of coffee or tea and a snack! Feel free to bop into my office when you need!
