Mission and Vision

Mission

The Greer High School Freshmen Academy serves to assist new freshmen students in their transition into high school through collaboration between students, parents, teachers, staff and administrators. As a support for freshmen, the Freshmen Academy will assist students with meeting the high expectations in high school, setting and meeting goals, character education, establishing good academic habits, encouraging participation in school sponsored events and celebrating the successes of its students.

Vision

The vision of Greer High School Freshmen Academy is to ensure the academic success of all students. By teachers, staff, administrators and parents providing support structures for students to achieve at a high level academically and socially, students will graduate within four years of entering high school. Through the Freshmen Academy, students will begin to map out their future plans and be provided assistance to achieve their goals and aspirations that they have set.

1) Celebrate the successes of our students.

2) Develop Support Structures for freshmen at Greer High School.

3) Provide positive behavioral supports for freshmen.

4) Provide comprehensive character development through Advisory sessions.

5) Increase success, decrease failure!
