South Carolina Junior Book Award

Students at GMS are invited and encouraged to participate in the South Carolina Book Award Program sponsored by the South Carolina Association of School Librarians (SCASL).  The purpose of this program is to encourage students to read quality literature each year.   If students read a minimum of three titles from the list of 20 Junior Book Award nominees, they are invited to join statewide voting for the year's winner in February and to a celebration at GMS with ice cream, fun, and prizes!  Students, after you read a SCJBA book, all you need to do is notify Ms. Fuller by filling out form below!  The deadline to read your three books is by the beginning of April and students will be celebrated with an ice cream party and fun after this point.
