Our Instructional Coach, Jody Allison has developed a document of teacher resources, One Stop Shop eLearning Resources.
"Information Literacy" is the ability to recognize when information is needed and have the ability to locate, evaluate, and use information effectively.
Our goals are to develop information literate students. And to inspire lifelong learning, as well as assist teachers and staff.

What can your media specialist do for you?
- collaboratively plan and co-teach units of instruction with classroom teachers
- assist teachers with finding materials and websites to support content area and standards
- purchase teacher requested materials for the media center
- assist students with bibliographic citation instruction and other research standards
- work with individual students and small groups to prepare classroom presentations
- instruct teachers and students in the use of technology integration
- teach students to find information using a variety of resources
- teach students how to evaluate information
- collaborate with teachers on implementing curriculum standards
