About Mrs. Kinlaw

This is my 14th year with Greenville County School district (coaching, substituting, & teaching) and this is my 5th year at Travelers Rest High School. I earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from Berea College located in Berea, Kentucky. I also hold a Master's of Arts in Teaching degree in Secondary Social Studies Education from the University of South Carolina, in Columbia, SC. I am currently enrolled at Clemson University as a member of the Community Collaboration for Counselors Cohort.

I am thrilled to teach Psychology/Sociology, Civics and AP Human Geography this year. I am an adviser to the following TRHS Clubs/Organizations: TRHS Youth in Government (YIG), FBLA, and the Royal Devildogs! I am dedicated to empowering and encouraging youth. It is my goal to help each one of my students excel and do their very best in reaching and surpassing their goals.

When not working with students, I enjoy spending time with my husband (Alex),  daughter (Haley) and son (Quinn).  My hobbies include traveling, working out, painting, and getting out in nature.
