I am Mrs. Gina Blasabas from the Philippines. I come from Cebu, the oldest city in the country. I am happily married and blessed with two children.
I earned my Bachelor of Secondary Education degree, major in General Science, from Saint Theresa's College in Cebu City. I have been in the teaching profession for 29 years—14 years at Saint Scholastica's Academy in Tabunok, Talisay City, Cebu, followed by 15 years at the University of San Jose–Recoletos, Basak Campus. My professional formation as a teacher comes from two Catholic institutions: Saint Scholastica’s Academy, which is run by nuns, and the University of San Jose–Recoletos, which is run by priests.
This year marks my 30th year as an educator and my first year of teaching at Berea Middle School. I am truly excited to teach in the United States, as it provides an opportunity to explore new teaching strategies and gain fresh perspectives from a different culture. I look forward to learning, growing, and embracing the changes that come with this experience. My heartfelt thanks go to the Berea Middle School family for warmly welcoming me into your community.
