Hi, my name is Ingrid Miller! I have worked in mental health for more than 35 years and absolutely love it. I enjoy working with teens and getting to know new people. I am excited to be part of Greer High School and look forward to getting to know all of the wonderful students and their families.
I have a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from Kent State University in addition to a Masters in Social Work from the University of Kentucky. I have worked as a Mental Health Therapist for most of my career. I have done a combination of multiple Inpatient hospital settings as well as several Outpatient Therapy practices. I have found that experiencing these different settings throughout the years has allowed me to accumulate different opportunities working with adolescents.. I utilize techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral therapy (DBT), Emotional Regulation, Anger/Conflict Management, Communication Skills, Art Therapy, Solution Focus Therapy and Family Systems/Psychoeducation. I am passionate about mental health and will work hard to assist anyone in any way I can.
I am originally from North Carolina, but grew up primarily in Ohio. I have also lived and worked in Kentucky, North Carolina, Oklahoma, and New Hampshire in the past. I have been in South Carolina for 20 years. I have one daughter and she is currently attending college.
In my spare time I enjoy listening to music, going to concerts, reading, hiking, baking, learning from YouTube, spending time with family/friends and loving on my sweet cat, Geo Miller. I also have a serious Snoopy problem.
Please feel free to stop by my office and say hello!
