Attendance Information

If students in grades K-12, are absent (10) days, whether those absences are lawful, unlawful, or a combination of the two, those absences above ten (10) days will not be considered excused with a parent/guardian note unless accompanied by official medical documentation or otherwise approved by the principal as a lawful absence.  

Students are counted absent if they are not present in a Google Meet for the entire class time and have their cameras on.   A parent or guardian must submit an excuse within 3 days of the students absence. Truancy laws still apply to virtual school.

* A scanned document or a picture of the document, such as a medical note or parent written note,  may be submitted by attaching it to the bottom of the form.

Medical Notes coming directly from a doctor's office: 

 A doctor’s office may also email a copy of a medical note directly to:  scmitche@greenville.k12.sc.us, please include the full name and grade of the student.
