Who We Are
Teacher Forum comprises of current and former Teachers of the Year for Greenville County Schools.
GCSTF operates in accordance with the Constitution and By-Laws set forth by the forum. A copy of the Constitution and By-Laws can be found here:
MISSION
To promote the improvement of education for the students of Greenville County Schools by supporting and empowering educators in three professional areas: 1) advocacy, 2) leadership, and 3) service.
VISION
The Teacher Forum exists to encourage educators to become actively involved in the leadership and advocacy of our profession. The forum facilitates greater communication and understanding regarding state and local educational policies and goals by providing opportunities for teachers to communicate with each other, district administration, educational leaders and policymakers, and the communities we serve.
GOALS
Advocacy –
- Improve understanding of educational policy and trends
- Encourage teacher voice through communication with educational leaders and policymakers
- Create a positive image of the teaching profession
Leadership –
- Foster teacher leadership within and beyond the school setting
- Facilitate informed communication among teachers
Service –
- Build relationships with community partners to serve the needs of Greenville County Schools
