About Me

       My name is Gehrig Black and I'm very excited to start my first year at Bryson teaching 7th grade ELA! I graduated from the University of South Carolina with a bachelor's in English and a focus on education. English has always been my favorite subject in school.

In my free time, I enjoy watching movies, playing guitar, and reading books and comics. I love spending time with my family and friends, playing video games or travelling. I am eager to show students that English can be both fun and important, and am happy to have each student in my class! Parents are always welcome to reach out to me through phone or email.
