Dear Rudolph Gordon Families,
As we close out this week, I want to take a moment to sincerely thank you for the many thoughts, kind words, and expressions of support you have extended to our school community. Your compassion and care have been deeply felt by our students, staff, and families.
This has been a heavy week for all of us. At times, we intentionally slowed down — pausing to check in, to offer encouragement, and simply to appreciate one another. While there are no perfect words for moments like these, I have been continually reminded of the strength of our community and the way we show up for one another when it matters most.
Throughout the week, our focus has been on supporting students and staff while also maintaining routines and a sense of normalcy. In times that feel anything but normal, those daily rhythms help provide comfort, stability, and reassurance for our children. Together, we have navigated each day with care, grace, and a shared commitment to one another.
Thank you for partnering with us, for supporting your children at home, and for extending so much kindness to our staff and students. Your support has made a difference and I am truly grateful.

ACCESS Testing
Each year, students in our English Learner program take the ACCESS language proficiency test. The test measures academic English language proficiency for students learning English in our school and throughout our state. Rudolph Gordon School’s testing dates are listed in the image to the left. Please note that Kindergarten students will be individually tested within the first two weeks of February.
Special Olympics Polar Plunge – February 21st!
Our school is excited to support Special Olympics by participating in the Polar Plunge on February 21st!

Celebrate your favorite books and authors with us this week! Get excited with our dress-up days and join our activities.
📘Join our Read-A-Thon! Books read earn money for our school's library. Be on the lookout for materials sent home with your child.
📗Book Drive! Donate new or gently used books to the collection bins outside the library.
Every page, every minute, every story counts. Let's build those reading habits together!
🏫 PTA Board Nominations: Please fill out this form and let us know what positions you are interested in. If you have any questions about the position(s) and what they entail, please don't hesitate to ask. Email us at nomination@rgspta.org or communications@rgspta.org. The final slate of nominations will be voted on during our last Spring PTA General Assembly meeting late in the spring semester. Volunteer to serve on the PTA Board!
🏫 Serve on the Nominating Committee: If you are interested in a short commitment, in a small group setting, helping to usher in the next RGS PTA board for the 2026-2027 term – please consider joining our nominating committee. The committee will form once there are at least seven individuals, with the purpose of announcing open RGS PTA board positions, collecting nominations, providing information to candidates, and helping create a ballot for a fair PTA election. If you are interested in serving on the nominating committee or would like more information, please fill out this form.
🪻 RGS Spring Market: Join us for the annual RGS Spring Market on Saturday, March 28, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. We’ll be hosting an indoor event with local small businesses, food trucks, and Easter egg hunts! Sign up as a vendor.
🎪 Gatorama Updates: Gatorama will be here before we know it! We are currently seeking sponsors for the event. If you, someone you know, or a local business you love is interested in sponsoring Gatorama, please share this information with them! If you have any questions, please contact the Gatorama Chair, Stephanie Fox, or the Business Partner Chair, Nicole Kotsch.
