Please see the info below about a district wide 250th celebration!

America 250 Student Celebration – Greenville County Schools

Greenville County Schools is celebrating America’s 250th birthday with a district-wide “Celebrating America” Student Celebration!

Students in Pre-K through 12th grade are invited to participate and share their ideas through a variety of formats, including essays, poetry, artwork, photography, speeches, songs, and dance. Participation from our class and students would be amazing! Students may submit only one entry, and all work must be original and created by the student. School winners will advance to the district competition, where district finalists and winners will receive cash prizes.

The website includes the student directions, entry forms, submission information, and requirements. Most entries will be submitted digitally through the website. Artwork and photography also require students to provide their physical work to their teacher or school by October 30, 2026.

I'm more than happy to send home additional informational flyers or give clarification on anything you might need! Thank you for helping our students Share Their Voice, Celebrate Our Nation, and Inspire Others!

Finally, please read over the newsletter linked above to see what is happening in kindergarten and our school community!

Best Wishes,

The Fork Shoals Kindergarten Team
