5. Tips for a successful video:
-Please check your video for sound. Check for sound balance prior to submitting to make sure the accompaniment track is not too loud or overpowering your singing.
-Dress appropriately for the video as if it were the real audition.

Things to think about when doing the pre-screen-
Pick a song you are excited about singing that fits the audition requirements and shows off your voice.
Find an accompaniment track for your song. You can ask an accompanist to play for you or you can find a track online. Performance of piece must be memorized.
Set up camera (phone cameras are great for this) so that you are filming yourself from the knees up. Not too far away. Your torso should be in the shot. Make sure the angle of the camera is straight on (not from below or above).
Pick a place in your house that is free from distraction. A Blank wall is preferable but if you do not have a blank wall to film in front of, pick a spot that doesn't distract from your performance.
Lighting- look at your video and make sure the lighting is so that your face is seen clearly.
Sound- do a rehearsal video to test for sound. Making sure that your voice can be heard clearly. The accompaniment track and voice must be balanced.
Have fun! We are not looking for perfection. The panel is looking for talent, personality, musicality, and love of the music.
Students will be notified about Pre-Screen results via Acceptd portal in addition to information on what to prepare for call backs (TBD). Thank you so much!
