About Me

Welcome to 7th Grade!  I am excited to be teaching science and Math 7/8 this year!

Here is just a little bit about me.  I have had the dream to teach since I was 5 years old!  I am looking forward to meeting and getting to know all of my students!

I was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.  I was raised in a very small town of Forty Fort (it was named for a Revolutionary War-era fort that the town's original settlers built; it held 40 settlers; very original).  I attended Wyoming Valley West School District from K-12.

After high school I attended one of Pennsylvania's top state schools, Kutztown University.  During my time at Kutztown University I completed my middle level 4-8 math and science certification.  In addition to my studies at Kutztown, I was an active member of my school's humanitarian group and 3 professional education organizations: AMLE, NAEYC, NAME.  I graduated from Kutztown University in May 2014.  I am always eager to keep learning.  In December 2018, I graduated from Clemson University with my Masters in Education with a focus in STEAM.

I have been living in Greenville, SC since the end of July 2015.  I am excited to be starting my 9th year teaching for Greenville County Schools.  Prior to my move, I was a day-to-day sub for 5 different school districts in Pennsylvania.  I substituted in classrooms ranging from K-12 grade and all subjects.

In my free time I enjoy drawing/painting, reading, swimming, listening to music (I have been to numerous concerts), watching ice hockey (LETS GO PENS), watching football, traveling and spending time with my friends and family.
