My Adventures

1. I started teaching in 2005 after graduating from the Clemson MAT program. 

2. I worked for 10 years in the mortgage industry prior to teaching. 

3. I taught 7th grade Social Studies for 18 years and 8th grade for 3.

4. I have 2 kids - Addie and Dayton and 3 step-kids - Anthony, Zachary, and Kaidence. 

5. I have 2 furry children - Hunter & Dean.

6. I have traveled to 42 states, China, South Korea, England, Costa Rica, the Bahamas, Grand Turk, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Honduras, and Mexico.

(I am missing Rhode Island, Wisconsin, North Dakota, Nebraska, Nevada, Arizona, Hawaii, & Alaska)

7. I grew up in Kingsport, TN and graduated from High School in 1995. I first went to Appalachian State and then transferred down to Clemson University, graduating in 1999. 

8. I lived in Greer until 2013. I moved to El Paso, TX and then to Fort Hood, TX until June 2017. 

9. I have been on National Ski Patrol since 2012. I have been worked at Wolf Ridge in NC, Ski Apache in New Mexico, and Cataloochee in NC.

10. I would love to someday go back to college to get my doctorate.
