Welcome to Second Grade! My name is Erica Sandall and this is my tenth year teaching! I know we are going to have a fantastic year!
I grew up in Greer, SC with my mom and dad. I attended Mitchell Road Christian Academy for elementary and middle school and then attended Eastside High School. I grew up riding horses in Lyman, SC and rode for 7 years. In middle school, I played volleyball and basketball. In high school, I continued to play volleyball. I also played volleyball for a club team in Spartanburg, SC. I always knew I wanted to be a teacher but my senior year of high school I decided I wanted to major in Nursing. I went to Charleston Southern University (Go Bucs!) and spent my first year majoring in Nursing. I realized that I still wanted to be a teacher so with rigorous academics and school year round, I completed my 4 year Early Childhood Education degree in 3 years. In addition, I completed my Masters from USC Upstate.
On the weekends, I enjoy going to the lake or spending time outside with my dog, Cali. In the fall, you will catch me cheering on the Florida Gators!
In my classroom I make sure that all students feel welcomed, loved and safe. I differentiate my instruction to meet the needs of all of my students. I love to incorporate hands-on learning activities and songs into my lessons. I love teaching and watching students learn and grow throughout the year!
