I'm an Illinois native who lived in the Chicago area for 25 years. After graduating college in 2012, I began my first two years of teaching in Special Education at a center for Autism.
In 2014, my husband, David, and I relocated to Houston, Texas where I taught at YES Prep Northside for eight years. During my time, I served as the campus art teacher, SpEd teacher, 504 coordinator, and lastly SpEd manager– the role I held for the last 4 years. In 2019, my husband and I welcomed our son, Elliot, who is now an outgoing, athletic six-year-old.
My family and I have valued our time in Houston and now enjoy serving the Travelers Rest community. When I'm not in the classroom, I love spending time with my family, painting, sewing, and running. I've also recently completed my M.Ed. in Literacy at Clemson in the winter of 2024. Go Tigers!
