Welcome! My name is Liz McLendon and this will be my tenth year teaching 5th grade! This is my first year at Brushy Creek Elementary, but I spent the last 7 years here in Greenville County teaching at Lake Forest Elementary. I also spent two years teaching 5th grade in Charlotte, NC, which is my hometown. I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Clemson University as well as a Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) from NC State University.
My husband and I have a baby girl named Lucy who will turn one in November. We also own two very energetic but loveable dogs, named Gracie and Theo. Gracie is a pit bull/lab/beagle mix and Theo is a miniature dachshund. I love showing my students new pictures and videos of them throughout the year! In my free time, I love to read and watch movies, as well as spend time with my family and friends. Some of my favorite books and movies include the Harry Potter series. I also love watching my Clemson Tigers play during the fall and going to see shows at the Peace Center.
I am so excited for this school year and getting to know all of my students! If there is anything I can help you with throughout the year, please feel free to call or send an email!
