About Mrs. Godfrey!

I am Mrs. Emily Godfrey and I am very excited to be teaching your student this year in 3rd grade! This is my 8th year at Cherrydale Elementary, and my 6th year teaching third grade.

I am a native to Greenville! I went to Summit Drive Elementary, League Academy, and Wade Hampton High School. I also attended the Fine Arts Center in 2012. I played softball throughout middle and high school and was in the Greenville County Youth Orchestra (playing the double bass!).

I graduated from the University of South Carolina (Go Gamecocks!) with a BA in Early Childhood Education.

Outside of school, I spend most of my time with my husband, Zac, our daughters, Eleanor and Shiloh, and our 2 dogs, Belton and Teddy.

About Ms. Stern!

My name is Gretchen Stern and I am a senior elementary education major at Furman University. I would also love to get my master's degree in TESOL after undergrad. I am from Raleigh, North Carolina and since being the oldest sibiling playing "school" with my brothers I have always wanted to be a teacher. I am so excited for this school year and to get to know Cherrydale Elementary!
