I have been a media specialist for many years and have worked at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. This is my 23rd year at Eastside High School. I earned my Bachelor's Degree at Furman University, and my Master's Degree at The University of South Carolina, Columbia. I enjoy working at the high school level, especially helping students with research and recreational reading. I am also the Technology Assistance Coordinator at Eastside and enjoy helping students and teachers in that capacity.
This will be my 21st year in education and my 19th year as a teacher at Eastside High School. I graduated from Clemson University in 2001 with a degree in Language and International Trade (Spanish Language Concentration). I worked briefly in the business world for Newell-Rubbermaid Corporation, but ultimately returned to what I feel is my true calling as an educator through Clemson’s Post-Baccalaureate Teacher Certification Program, graduating in 2003. I have thoroughly enjoyed teaching Spanish language and culture for over a decade at the secondary level. In 2014, I completed the Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) graduate degree through the University of South Carolina, and I have been in the EHS Media Center since 2016 as a librarian and tech coach. I love to working with students and teachers each day!
I have lived in Greenville (Greer as a child) my entire life. My husband Tommy and I have two wonderful children who always keep us on our toes. We are a dedicated Clemson family (GO Tigers!) and also love traveling when we can. My favorite things in life are spending time with my family, shopping, and getting lost in a really great book.
