ZEKE FUNKE

2021: Zeke started the majority of the season at Right Tackle for the Eagles. In a region that is considered the hardest in SC AAAA football, Zeke held his own as a freshman. After earning the respect of his coaches and his teammates, Zeke took the starting job for the remainder of the season. Zeke is a bright spot for the Eagles' future and is expected to have a great off-season as he prepares for his sophomore campaign with the Eagles. Zeke is also a multi-sport athlete, so there is not much downtime for this young man. He is definitely a prospect that colleges would like to get on their radars now.

2022: Zeke served a major key in our offense this season. Zeke's high football IQ and blocking ability led to Eastside producing its first 1500+ yard rusher since 2019. Zeke continues to lead by example and is an extension of the coaching staff on the field. Zeke continues to play multiple sports, and has a 3.5+ GPA. 

2023: Zeke has solidified himself as the anchor on the offensive line. Taking great pride in the run game, Zeke has done a great job of holding everyone accountable and becoming the leader our program needs in order to take it to the next level. Look for this young man to generate some big time buzz in the near future. Zeke is a honor roll student and has the ability to become a big time recruit in this state.
