Hello Families!  

  Welcome to  2nd Grade!!  I am so excited to be your teacher this year!  I know we are going to have a wonderful year together filled with fun, laughter, hard work, and growth.  I want to share a bit about myself with you. 

   I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with an Endorsement in ESOL at The University of South Florida in 2009.  I am originally from Florida, which is where I met and married my Husband, Paul.  We have been married for 15 years.  We have two wonderful and rambunctious boys, Johnathan, who attends Blue Ridge Middle, and Samuel, who attends Skyland. 

  Our family moved here in November 2020.  This move has not only brought us closer to our families but also brought along meeting new friends and some great outdoor adventures!   We enjoy hiking, biking, weekend barbeques, being around family, and traveling.  I also enjoy painting, putting together puzzles, Football (GO BULLS!! And BUCS!!), Hockey (Go Lightning!!), and watching my boys play their sports.  

  I truly find it a blessing to be part of an amazing team at Skyland Elementary.  It is a wonderful place to work every day and am looking forward to a wonderful year with you in Second Grade!  I believe that our classroom should be a happy and safe place where all students can flourish!  I cannot wait to see the progress that they will make, not just this year, but for years to come!
