About Me

I am a North Carolina native and graduated from R.J. Reynolds High School in 1991, Appalachian State University in 1996, and Anderson University with my master's in 2021. I have been teaching ever since (28 1/2 years), mainly in the greater Charlotte area of North Carolina, and for the seven years at Greer High School. I moved to Mauldin High in 2023-2024. I am also the head varsity coach for the Men's and Women's Swim Teams at Mauldin High. I am extremely excited to be in the Mauldin and Greenville area with my family, as we have fallen in love with the community. My wife Jennifer is a math teacher at Ralph Chandler in Simpsonville. Our 18-year-old son, Jake, will be a senior at Hillcrest High School, and our 20-year-old daughter, Emma, graduated from Mauldin High in 2023 and will be a junior at Georgia Southern University this fall. As a family, we love to hike, golf, and have game nights. I am also an avid college football fan and since my father graduated from Alabama during the Bear Bryant era, it always has been and will be ROLL TIDE!!!!!!
