About the Teacher

Welcome! I’m Dr. Sonya Campbell, and I’m absolutely thrilled to embark on my first year teaching middle school in the Multilingual Program! Having moved to South Carolina 11 years ago after my husband retired from the Army at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, I’ve found a new home here. With a Doctorate Degree in Educational Leadership from Saint Louis University and a Specialist degree in Education, I’m passionate about empowering students, to ignite a love of learning and help students thrive in their language journey. 

Outside of school, I cherish family time, exploring new places with our two adorable fur babies, TJ and LA, and diving into exciting new adventures through reading. I can’t wait to work with you all in the 2024-2025 school year and make it a fantastic year of growth and discovery!
