I was born and raised in Nice, France.

I graduated from Kansas State University where I received my Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry. I have taught various Chemistry courses at Kansas State University as well as at the University of South Carolina where I also taught Biology courses. 

My 16 year old son is a 12th grader at Fountain Inn HS. He runs cross country and track and field, and is 3rd degree Black Belt and Instructor in Taekwondo. He plays clarinet in Band.
