About me

Hello, My name is Chris Schafer.  I grew up on a small farm in Michigan where I worked along side my Dad and Grandpa on the Tractors and equipment so it was only natural for me to take up a career as a Diesel Tech.  While in High School I was selected Automotive Student of the Year my Senior year.  I also took my first mechanic job at a local repair shop my junior year. I went on and received an Associates degree in Heavy Equipment Technology from Ferris State University.  During my career I have worked at a couple of fleets and Dealerships.  I spent 2 years as a fleet manager and 4 years as Service Manager at a local Greenville dealership.  I have over 30 years of experience in the field and I still love it and cannot picture myself in any other industry.  I am very happy to now be teaching the industry I love.
