Welcome!! My name is Mary Dean and I'm so excited about my sixth year at Pelham Road. I'm looking forward to having your child in my class!  It's going to be a great year in 1st grade!!!

I'm originally from Easley, SC and went to Erskine College, where I graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.  I also have my Masters in Education from Furman University.  I taught 10 years at Fork Shoals Elementary (2nd grade) , four years at Disciples CDC (4K) and the last five years at Pelham Road (1st grade).  

My husband, Brandon and I have two children.  Parker is fourteen and will be going into ninth grade at Riverside High.  Emily is eleven and will be in sixth grade at Northwood Middle. Our kids keep us busy with their favorites sports and we love it!!! Most weekends, we are on the soccer fields or at a gymnastics meet;). We love being around water (beach, lake, pool), going to the mountains, riding bikes, cheering on Clemson & Furman and spending time with friends & family.  

We moved back to the upstate in 2018 after spending 2 years in Sydney, Australia for my husband's job.  Our experience in Australia was pretty amazing and we realized how much we enjoy traveling and seeing new places.
