Ms. Dailey
This is my seventeenth year teaching. Sixteen of those years have been at Bethel while for the 2020-21 school year I taught music for the Virtual Program in GCS. I was the 2015-16 Teacher of the Year for Bethel which was an exciting and humbling experience.
I am from Pawleys Island, South Carolina. I attended the South Carolina Governor's School for the Arts and Humanities in Greenville County. I received my bachelors degree from Furman University in voice performance. Following my graduation in 2006, I attended Indiana State University, where I received my masters degree in music education. I sing as a member of the sanctuary choir at Westminster Presbyterian Church and lead music from 2-7 year old children in various choirs and programs.
When I am at home, I enjoy reading, spending time with my family and friends, and walking/running. I am happy married and have two beautiful children- Manning and Lennon.
Ms. VanderKooi
Hi, I’m Miss VanderKooi, and I love music! I taught music for 8 years in the Chicago area, and this is my third year at Bethel Elementary.
I graduated from Bob Jones University in 2013 with a B.S. in Music Education. In 2015 I received my Masters in Music Education from VanderCook College of Music in Chicago. Currently I am working toward becoming a Board-Certified Music Therapist through St. Mary of the Woods in Indiana. I am certified in World Music Drumming level I and Orff-Schulwerk levels I and II.
Piano is my favorite instrument, but I also play the organ, clarinet, flute, and ukulele. In my free time, I love to play volleyball, play my instruments, bake, volunteer, and hang out with friends. My favorite color is lime green. If I could eat only one kind of food for the rest of my life, it would be Indian cuisine!
I believe that everyone is musical and that everyone can express themselves musically. I am looking forward to a fun-packed year of music!
