This course is multidisciplinary in that it relates world geography to the history, current events, government and political systems, economic systems, cultural characteristics and traditions of people throughout the world.  This will be done through the use of maps, graphs and charts, reference materials (including your textbook), electronic media, class discussion and debate, and student research.

Unit 2: Latin America

Unit 3: Europe and Russia

Unit 4: Africa

Unit 5: Southwest and Central Asia

Unit 6: Monsoon Asia

Unit 7: Oceania and Antarctica

7th Grade Late Work, Absences and Makeup Policy

Students are expected to complete all assignments by the due date. The assignment grace period is 5 school days (a week). No late work will be accepted after grace period or the end of the grading period in which it was assigned. 

Students who are absent will have 5 school days from the date of their return to make up missed work. 

Check my Google classroom at home for topics that are covered and for assignments that are missed during an absence.

7th Grade Retake/Redo Policy

Major assessments that do not include checkpoints may be retaken/redone. A retake/redo can result in a grade up to 93. Minor assessments may not be retaken/redone.

Students must complete a qualifying assignment that is related to the standards being assessed in order to retake/redo an assessment. Students will have two school days from when the teacher assigns the qualifying assignment to complete it. The retake/redo must be completed within three school days of the qualifier being turned in.

Students who score below a 75 will automatically receive a qualifying assignment. Students who score between a 76 and a 92  may request a qualifying assignment. Students may retake/redo an assessment once.
