Materials Needed:
1. A 3-ring binder with loose leaf paper (NO SPIRAL PAPER!!!!!)
3. Pens and/or pencils. (Tests and quizzes will only be done in blue or black ink or pencil.)
4. Chromebooks
5. wired earphones or earbuds
CLASS RULES
In order to guarantee that all students receive the best possible instruction, appropriate behavior is necessary. Please discuss with your child the importance of good behavior in class.
1. Be courteous and respectful.
This includes raising your hand before called on, respecting others who are talking and keeping you hands and feet to yourself.
2. Be prepared.
Book, paper, pens/pencils, AND chromebooks should be brought to every class.
3. Be attentive to the teacher and classmates.
4. Be on time.
So class can get started without delay. The 4th tardy to class will result in an afterschool detention with the administrator.
5. Obey all school rules as indicated in the student handbook.
All personal business should be handled before class. This includes personal grooming, lockers, restrooms, phones, etc. There will not be time for this during class.
Consequences:
1st offense: WARNING
2nd offense: PARENT CONTACT.
3rd offense: TEACHER CONSEQUENCE.
4th offense: REFERRAL
Grading Procedure:
Tests:Taken at the end of each chapter
Quizzes: There will be one- three, throughout the chapter
Homework: Assigned periodically
Daily Grades: Warm up activities and daily graded work
Projects: One will be due each 9 weeks
Grading Policy:
Student are expected to turn their assignments in on time. Any assignment that is late we receive a deduction of points. Even if it is during the class period when assignment was due at the beginning of the period.
Grading Scale:
90-100 A
80 - 89 B
70 - 79 C
60 - 69 D
0-59 F
Cheating will result in a zero and a call home.
Any work not handed in will be assigned working lunch, we will use flex period, or they will not be able to participate in activities in class until the assignment is complete
