I attended Greenville High which I loved and learned a lot, I never felt that the transition from CTC to public high school was difficult socially, and I felt the experience really set me up for success academically. I graduated from Greenville in the top 10 of class and went on to the Honors College at UGA to become a Bulldog.

I loved my time there as well. I started out as a Biochemical Engineering major, but realized I much prefer working with people than in a lab, and switched to a double major in Finance and International Business. I graduated Magna Cum Laude and took a job as an analyst with PNC Bank in Cleveland Ohio, mostly because I am a die hard Browns fan and wanted to be there for a season. The one season I lived in Cleveland, the Browns lost every single game, and I was in attendance for all 8 home losses, ouch.

Nowadays, I work for Merrill Lynch in Private Wealth Management in Jacksonville FL, and I run the portfolio construction and due diligence for our team, which is called the Chappell Walker Group. I just finished earning my Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, which was a pretty grueling program, but I learned a ton. I have been here about 18 months and we are now managing just over $1.5 Billion. I love my job. In my free time, I love the outdoors, and Florida is the perfect place for that. My passion is backpacking/camping, but I also love to fish and play golf. I’ve added a picture from my work website as well as one from my most recent backpacking trip in Washington State.

After graduating from CTC as part of the Class of 2009, I attended Wade Hampton High School. Following graduation in 2013, I went to Clemson University to pursue my Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering. 4 years later, I moved to Charleston to begin working as a Systems Engineer for the Department of Defense (DoD). Since then, I have continued to work at Naval Information Warfare Command (NIWC) Atlantic (formerly Space and Naval Warfare Center [SPAWAR]) supporting the Navy as a DoD civilian. Although my primary residence was Charleston, I was in a unique situation where my work has allowed me to travel around the world. After living in Charleston for 3 years, I was selected for a full-time position in Germany. I moved to Germany in November of 2020 and plan to live here for the next 3 years. I am also currently pursuing my Master of Engineering in Systems Engineering from Penn State University.
