The South Carolina Education and the Economic Development Act (EEDA), requires middle schools to implement an Individual Graduation Plan (IGP) for students in the eighth grade. At that time, parents and students are to meet with a counselor to discuss the Career Cluster that has been chosen by the eighth grader. Students have the right to change their cluster of study at any time. We will also review the results of the career assessments that your child may have taken at school to help us in making some tentative program choices for high school.
Informal career assessments are a way to help you gain a better understanding of who you are and what you are good at. Many of these assessments ask questions about your habits and your interest.
