Course Description: A course providing introductory knowledge into the study of weight training, including, but not limited to, anatomical information, nutritional information, and muscular composition.
Course Objectives: The student will be able to:
1) Demonstrate proper safety procedures while in the weight room.
2) Identify major muscles of the upper body and lower body.
3) Demonstrate different lifting techniques and the muscles that are being used.
4) Differentiate between aerobic exercise and anaerobic exercise.
5) Write a personal one-month workout regime including a daily intake diary of foods consumed throughout the month.
Grading Criteria: 40% Minor, 60% Major
Participation:
- This will be an evaluation including your participation and daily check in each week.
