About the Teacher

Hello!  My name is Coach Farrington and I am excited to be a Physical Education/Health Teacher here at Greer Middle School again this year!!  I received my Physical Education degree in 1989 from USC Upstate (it was USC-Spartanburg at that time) and received my Masters of Education in Health/Physical Education with an emphasis in Exercise Physiology in 1990 from University of Louisiana-Monroe (it was Northeast Louisiana University way back then!)).  I have been fortunate to teach in several states and at all levels from K-University.   I retired from coaching but I have been a coach for 30 years in different sports-Volleyball, Basketball and Softball!

I am blessed with a beautiful family! I have a wonderful husband, Coach  Jeff Farrington (retired as Head football at North Greenville University), two beautiful daughters-Maddison and Sydney, a son-in-love Eythan who is married to Sydney  and my handsome son, Bobby, who serves our country as a Marine in Hawaii with his sweet wife, Savannah and our first grandchild, Maylie (born Dec 27, 2025)  Our fur babies are  Lucky pup  and a  cat named Grayson.  We love to travel, hike/walk, watch sunrises and do devotions together,  sit on the porch/beach together, go to games and treasure caring for our  two elderly moms, friends, players and family!

I am looking forward to working with all of you and exploring all the fun and interesting activities through Health and Physical Education /Unified Physical Education this year.  My hope is that you will learn to appreciate and discover many things you didn't even know you could do!!!
