About the Teacher

Hello, my name is Trey Hasty and I am happy to be joining the Eastside High family as a teacher this year. However, this is not my first time as an Eagle as I am a proud 2004 graduate! After graduating Eastside I continued my academic career at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC, where I received a degree in Sports Management.  Additionally, I have an MBA from American Public University. Winthrop is also where I met my wife Luisa.  We enjoyed the Charlotte area so much that it took me 12 years to return home. My wife and I moved back to Greenville in the summer of 2017 so that I could start my teaching career and be closer to family and in April of 2020 I became a proud #girlDad when Luisa and I welcomed our baby girl, Blair, to the world. In addition to being part of the business department, I am the defensive coordinator and linebackers for the football team. Prior to Eastside, I spent the previous 4 years at Blue Ridge High School both teaching and coaching and 3 years at Carolina High School prior to that.  Before I got into education in a previous life I worked for 8 years as a Real Estate Appraiser.  I am excited to work with all of you, parents and students, as we work towards an amazing school year.
