All About Mrs. Waddell

Let me first welcome you to the 5^th grade and thank you! Thank you for entrusting me with your most precious gift – your child. I hope you all had a fun and exciting summer and managed to get a little rest and relaxation so that you are ready for a great year.

I hope to get to know each of you over the course of this year and I want you to have a chance to know me. I received my undergraduate degree from The College of Charleston in Elementary Education in 1994. After teaching for 2 years, I went on to complete my Master’s in Education at Charleston Southern University in 1999. I have taught for a total of 27 years at various grade levels. This will be my 20^th year teaching 5^th grade. In May 2020, I graduated with my second Master's Degree in Literacy - from CLEMSON!

This summer my husband, Mike and I, celebrated our 15th anniversary. We have five children: Preston (29), Courtney (27), Cooper (24), Grayson (21 - a Senior at The Citadel), and Lanie Katherine (20 - a Sophomore at Clemson). This summer we celebrated our first grandson, Lucas, turning ONE! We all enjoy spending time at the beach and in the mountains. During my spare time, I enjoy gardening, reading, knitting and taking long walks.
