Welcome! 

As we create a learning community together in our exploration of U.S History, please feel free to reach out to me with any questions or concerns you may have.

I will try to respond to email by the end of the day during school. Afterschool or weekend I will respond by the end of the next school day.

Office Hours: Students can make appointments for Wednesdays 3:45-4:15pm, or please schedule with me another time. Parents, I am available for phone calls from 2:15pm to 3:45pm.

Make-up Tests/Assignments: Please be prepared to make up a test before or after school so that you do not miss class instruction and assignments.  

Assignments will be due the day you return if you are only absent on the due date.

U.S History Course Reminders:

• Everything will be on Google Classroom: you should be checking our US History online classroom everyday for daily slides/notes, assignments due, resources and messages from me.

• Materials needed: A separate Composition Notebook for daily Bell Ringers, and a folder for assignments. Also, charged Chromebook, pens, pencils and colored highlighters.

• This is an EOC course: There is a South Carolina state administered End of Course (EOC) Exam worth 20% of the final grade. 

• US History is a required course to pass in order to graduate.

Classroom Expectations: 

• By SC law, CELL PHONES are not allowed to be out in ANY classroom.  Cell Phones, Ear buds and Smart watches must be placed in your backpack and your backpack stored against the wall away from your desk.

• Be Prepared with a charged Chromebook, Notebooks and pen or pencil everyday.

• COPYING work from other students is a violation of our school’s Honor Code. Copied work will result in a zero grade for both students involved- the one who copies AND the one who gives the work.

• Behavior Consequences: 1st offense/phone call home, 2nd offense/detention, 3rd offense/discipline referral
