I was born and raised in Greenwood South Carolina where I was very involved in sports, band, scouting and church activities. I graduated from Greenwood High in 1981 and earned a scholarship to play soccer in College. Later, I received an Associate Degree from Spartanburg Methodist College, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Limestone College and a Master's Degree from the University of South Carolina. I also have a Specialist Certification , a Gifted/Talented Endorsement and a Read To Succeed Endorsement. I am considered as a Highly Qualified Teacher by the State Department of Education. I have been teaching for 34 years and have coached soccer, football and basketball for many of those years. I have been in my current position for 15 years and I feel very blessed to have the opportunity to have a positive impact on the lives of hundreds of children here at Slater Marietta and Crestview Elementary Schools.
