Tutoring
Tutoring by Mr. Chen and DOGS Tutoring are two programs that are offered here at Berea High School.
Read the following to learn more about each service.
Tutoring by Mr. Chen:
Mr. Chen's students can receive tutoring before school on Tuesday and Thursdays from 8:00 AM - 8:30 AM. To ensure the best use of the time together, please contact me via email at least 24 hours beforehand. During this tutoring time, students are able to receive additional 1-on-1 support, make-up missing work or assessments, labs, or receive other services. If receiving tutoring before school is a challenge due to transportation, please contact the instructor for alternative hours and/or dates.
DOGS Tutoring:
DOGS tutoring is the school-sponsored tutoring where any student (not only Mr. Chen's) can receive tutoring after school in any core content area (i.e. math, science, history, English). The tutoring is offered after school on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM. The students can receive bus transportation at the end of the tutoring session if the student signs up for transportation at least 24 hours before the scheduled tutoring session.

Tutoría por el Sr. Chen:
Los estudiantes del Sr. Chen pueden recibir tutoría antes de clases los martes y jueves de 8:00 a. m. a 8:30 a. m. Para garantizar el mejor uso del tiempo juntos, comuníquese conmigo por correo electrónico con al menos 24 horas de anticipación. Durante este tiempo de tutoría, los estudiantes pueden recibir apoyo adicional 1 a 1, recuperar trabajos o evaluaciones faltantes, laboratorios o recibir otros servicios. Si recibir tutoría antes de la escuela es un desafío debido al transporte, comuníquese con el instructor para obtener horarios y/o fechas alternativos.
DOGS Tutoría:
La tutoría DOGS es la tutoría patrocinada por la escuela donde cualquier estudiante (no solo el Sr. Chen) puede recibir tutoría después de la escuela en cualquier área de contenido básico (es decir, matemáticas, ciencias, historia, inglés). La tutoría se ofrece después de la escuela los lunes, martes y jueves de 4:00 p. m. a 5:00 p. m. Los estudiantes pueden recibir transporte en autobús al final de la sesión de tutoría si el estudiante se registra para el transporte al menos 24 horas antes de la sesión de tutoría programada.
