Hi Students and Parents!
My name is Cathy Workman, and I am very happy to be your MLP (Multilingual Learner Program) teacher this year. I studied Spanish in college and have traveled to Mexico multiple times. I have taught English language acquisition to students of many different backgrounds since 1998. I enjoy helping students learn and develop English skills that will help them be successful in both the academic and professional worlds. This is my 28th year teaching Multilingual Learners and my 20th year in the Greenville County School District. I love teaching ESOL at the secondary level. The best part of my job is when I get to see my students walk across the stage at graduation because I truly know how hard they have worked to get there!
I am originally from West Virginia and attended Berea College in Kentucky. I received my master's degree in education from National-Louis University and my ESOL certification from Furman University. I love spending time at home with my husband, two children, and all of our animals.
I am looking forward to a fantastic school year in 2025-2026!
~Mrs. Workman
