All About Me

I am absolutely thrilled to be your child's math and reading intervention teacher this year! Teaching is my passion and I love seeing kids grow and progress each day. I've grown up in this area and am now living in Travelers Rest with my husband, Timothy, our sweet little boy Jace (2 years old), Kenlee Rae (4 years old), and our dog Emma. I graduated from Clemson University in 2012 with a Bachelor's of Arts degree in elementary education making me highly qualified to teach grades 2-6. I am also currently getting my Master's Degree in Literacy from Furman University. This will be my ninth year teaching at Welcome. I come from a pretty big family, me being the youngest of five. I have two brothers, two sisters, and a lot of nieces and nephews. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, baking desserts, and going to Clemson football games. Go Tigers!

As an intervention teacher, I will be a coach and work side by side with each student. Together we will achieve greatness! It is my goal to work hard each and every day to provide my students with the tools they need to succeed both in and out of the classroom. I strive to create a positive environment where my students feel valued, safe, and encouraged. I believe that all students can learn if given the opportunity. I know it is going to be a great year!
